Speculative Design Maker Session

Ci3's GameChanger Chicago

This workshop will introduce the basics of speculative design and how we might use it for social justice. Participants will conceive, develop, and make objects that they would like to see in their communities in the near future. Rather than purporting to solve individual and community injustices, these objects will find, stage, and anticipate problems of the future so that we might inhabit the many complexities of the present. At the end of the session, young people will walk away with an object that could address a structural, interpersonal, or social issue that impacts their everyday lives. #RemakeDaysCHI
