Beyond the Frame: A Photography Workshop Series

Lucky Jefferson, in partnership with Buddy at the Chicago Cultural Center is excited to welcome previously incarcerated and justice-impacted individuals to Beyond the Frame: A Photography Workshop Series in Chicago, IL!

This free in-person workshop series will be held throughout May 2024 on the following dates:

Saturday, May 4, 2024 11-1PM, at DePaul Art Museum
Saturday, May 11, 2024, 11-1PM, at Hyde Park Art Center (Partnerships Studio)
Saturday, May 18, 2024,11-1PM, at Hyde Park Art Center (Partnerships Studio)
Saturday, May 25, 2024, 11-1PM, at Hyde Park Art Center (Partnerships Studio)

Works produced during these sessions will be celebrated in a summer public gallery exhibit in The Chicago Cultural Center, allowing the broader community to witness and appreciate the talent and perspectives of this cohort of participants.

We are actively seeking participants who are either eager to explore a new medium of expression or have some experience in photography.

Disposable cameras will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own preferred device for photography.
