E-CADEMY Middle School Year 1

Project SYNCERE

E-CADEMY is a Saturday Engineering program, designed to prepare students for entrance into post-secondary institutions. During the year 1 portion of Project SYNCERE's Middle School Program, students participate in 2 different modules. The first session focuses on Robotics and Automation, where students learn about mechanisms, gears, and coding. Throughout the course, students learn are challenged with designing and building various mechanical devices to solve specific engineering challenges and then they learn how to automate their machines using sensors and coding in Visual C. The exciting world of aerospace engineering comes alive through the Flight and Space (FS) unit during the second module. Students explore the science behind aeronautics and use their knowledge to design, prototype, and test model rocket fuel and a glider. Custom built simulation software allows students to experience space travel.
