The Support Services Specialist position offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on educational programs while working with a dynamic and passionate team. In this role, the individual will play a key part in ensuring the success of programs by managing data and compliance in a fast-paced, fulfilling environment.

This position is responsible for modeling the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration, and active support of the University’s Mission in Catholic and Lasallian higher education.


Responsibilities:

  • Master the paperwork: The role involves receiving and auditing course paperwork from various locations—whether partner facilities, clients, or online courses—and ensuring all details are accurate. Any issues will be promptly addressed in collaboration with Project Managers to ensure swift resolution.
  • Dive into data management: This role will be crucial in entering and managing important data about instructors, students, courses, and assessments in proprietary systems, ensuring everything stays organized and compliant.
  • Reports & Certificates: After each course, the individual will create detailed training reports and issue certificates and credentials, ensuring that students and clients are well-informed and satisfied.
  • Be the organizational guru: Preparing course audit files, maintaining training databases, and ensuring everything is accessible for statistical and audit purposes will also be part of the job.
  • Teamwork makes the dream work: By collaborating with the Assistant Manager and Manager, the role will assist with administrative tasks, streamline processes, and contribute to creative projects such as marketing and course design.
  • Drive productivity: This role will help the Institute for Workforce Education and Lewis University-St. Augustine College stay efficient and sustainable, all while staying aligned with the mission to deliver high-quality education.

Qualifications:

  • Age: Must be 20 years or older to qualify
  • Education: An Associate's degree in business administration, education, or general studies is required. Additional experience with 2+ years in business office roles, especially within the education field, is a plus.
  • Tech skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint) is required, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills: The individual will be skilled in engaging with a diverse community, clearly communicating, and providing top-notch customer service.
  • Self-motivation and organization: The ideal candidate is a self-starter, highly organized, innovative, and focused on improving processes while helping the team succeed
