Youth Standing Together on Prevention

South Side Help Center

Youth Standing On Prevention (Y-STOP) Program is a teen leadership training to teach teens Leadership, Communication and Conflict Resolution skills. Teens will attend a 10-12 week skills training and will begin developing the tools to become a strong and effective Youth Leader in the community. Upon successful completion, teens will create a series of events that address the issues that they decide are impacting the community. Teens will also be trained on alcohol and drug prevention, Sexual health and Responsibility, and Social Justice. Teens will have opportunities to connect with other community leaders, explore the power of their own voice, and develop foundational team building strategies. Whether you are looking to simply strengthen your leadership skills or learn how to enter the workforce, we are here to help. Paid and unpaid internship opportunities may be available upon completion of the program.
