Youth-Led Badging 2015

The Anti-Cruelty Society

Are you an outgoing, creative, tech-savvy teen? Are you looking to gain real-world skills in administration, communication, advertising, and computer use? In partnership with Chicago Botanic Gardens, Chicago Public Library, and Project Exploration, The Anti-Cruelty Society has created a four month long Youth-Led Badging program. Interested youth must apply and interview for this program, and are selected by the partner organization with which they will be working. Youth will be trained to become Digital Badging Specialists, and are responsible for facilitating programs, providing administrative support to staff, issuing CCOL badges for earners, and acting as ambassadors for the CCOL platform and partner organizations. Throughout the course of this program, youth will gain experience in: office administration, marketing and advertising, public speaking, writing, and program facilitation.
