Territory Urban Design Team - Austin

For young people who want to have a positive impact on their communities and have their voices heard, Territory offers three design studio programs. Each program is a step up in skill level, from the intro studio, where teens create "small changes" to the advanced studio, where teens design, build, and lead a community project they initiated in the studio. The intro, Territory Urban Design Team, is an After School Matters program serving the neighborhood of Austin on Chicago's West Side. Advanced design studios are located in multiple neighborhoods, where Territory convenes teens from the neighborhood to share their vision and expertise, and develop design solutions alongside city agencies and community development organizations.
