CHANCE Program

The CHANCE Program was developed in 2004 to assist the campus with recruitment, retention, and graduation rates of underrepresented students. Our comprehensive programming addresses the needs of our student-body through face-to-face and online workshops. The CHANCE Program is committed to providing academic, personal, and professional assistance to students with demonstrated academic and personal needs. The mission of the CHANCE Program is to recruit and retain academically qualified, underrepresented candidates from Chicago and suburban communities in need of enrichment and learning skills, for admission to UIC, and facilitate access to the necessary academic activities and professional services that will enable them to persist and graduate, as well-prepared professionals for the 21st century.
