UChicago College Advising Corps (UChicago CAC)

UChicago College Advising Corps (UChicago CAC) aims to increase the number of low-income, first generation, underrepresented high school students who enroll into higher education by helping students navigate the college and financial aid application processes. Since 2017, the program has assisted and empowered Chicago Public Schools high school students as they seek post-secondary opportunities. UChicago CAC Advisers have served 5,906 seniors, held over 19,000 one-on-one meetings with students, met with student families over 2,600 times, helped secure more than $160M in institutional aid and scholarships, and assisted student submission of nearly 38,000 college applications which have led to over 15,000 college acceptances.
