Digital Youth Divas

Digital Youth Network

Calling all 4th-8th Grade girls- Join Digital Divas on STEAMville.org!

When asked for their opinion on computer science, middle school girls tend to describe the field as being for "boys” and "nerds.” The same girls, when asked about the word “diva,” describe females of all ages as being sassy, cool, and “just like me!” The Digital Youth Network’s Digital Youth Divas program provides fun, innovative computer science opportunities for girls who don't typically see themselves as tomorrow's tech bosses. We encourage middle school girls to become tomorrow’s STEM leaders by bringing them technology with attitude!

Digital Youth Divas is a community of girls discovering their STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) interests and identities while working on STEAM-infused projects led by trained female college students as mentors. All projects are curated to contextualize STEAM while developing girls’ critical STEAM literacies. Black and Latino girls and their families are especially invited to join the Digital Youth Divas experience!
