Convention Connection 101

Teens in Convention Connection explore their role and responsibility as artists for community and social change. Teens receive training in specific art techniques and learn to utilize the creative process to reflect on the communities and systems in which they live. Field trips and workshops focus on artists and art movements that further positive change and civic engagement. Having learned about art and social justice, teens utilize their individual voices and artistic skills to create works that address specific social or community issues they feel passionate about.
