Art Institute of Chicago Museum Education Program (Downtown Branch)

After School Matters

Are you a creative teen interested in studio arts, museums, education and leadership? Museum Education teens work at the Art Institute of Chicago to deliver public programs for families, youth, and other teens. Teens work closely with museum mentors to assist in art-making activities, studio programs, gallery tours, school-group greeting, and family festivals. Teens also have the opportunity to design and implement their own innovative programs, job-shadow, go behind the scenes with staff from around the museum, and learn more about the museums collection. Applicants should be: great at communication, problem solving, teamwork, and multi-tasking; excited to work with people of all ages; dependable and have a very open and flexible summer schedule, including weekends; able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
