Nature Play in Urban Woods

Urban woods are unique parts of the Chicago Park District, children are welcomed off trail to explore, build forts, imagine, manipulate movable pieces and embrace the intuitive lessons that happen when we let nature be our teacher. The site of incredible nature play and the state’s first forest play school, we will welcome all to explore. Staff will also have a table of resources about nature play for parents and educators including the benefits of nature play, how to deal with risks and hazards within nature play, and information about the community process for establishing a nature playground in your own community. #RemakeDaysCHI
