Project Tech Teens Summer Boot Camp - St. Louis

The Project Tech Teens Boot Camp helps students learn how to become better thinkers, learn basic programming languages, build mobile applications, pitch business ideas, and experience unique opportunities that better prepare them for a bright future. The Tech Boot Camp is offered as a two-week residential camp offered during the late spring and summer months. Students work in teams to create a technology and business vision. They learn how to plan and create innovative apps to meet end-user satisfaction, develop a website and business plan. On the final day, each team gives a 15-minute “pitch” to a panel of judges in a business plan competition setting. The top team whose presentation is considered as having the most solid business strategy and potential for success wins an opportunity to move to the second round of development to eventually have their technology idea funded. Students meet guest speakers, work with mentors from a variety of technology backgrounds, and tour high-tech facilities in the area to see entrepreneurs, technology and business management in action.
