CHA Summer Advantage Learn and Earn

Summer Advantage USA In partnership with the CHA, the 6 week, all-day program for teens ages 13-15 is themed "Pathways to Success" with curriculum-based morning academics in Math and Literacy taught by certified teachers. With the goal of stopping summer learning loss while building skills and positive goals for the future, scholars will take a standardized pre-test in Week 1 and a Post-Test in Week 5. Afternoon learning is focused on Career Exploration,Workforce Readiness, Life Skills, College Preparation and Goal Setting, and Character Education. The scholars have an opportunity to earn a stipend for daily attendance and active engagement in the program with successful completion. All scholars will visit colleges, complete a personal portfolio, do community service projects and have weekly learning trips around Chicagoland.
