Explore Forensics

Project Exploration’s Forensic Investigators program is a four-week, intensive summer experience in which students will explore forensic science in depth, from evidence collection to court presentation. Students will identify an interest in a specific discipline and split into smaller groups to work with a professional forensic scientist who will teach them discipline-specific techniques. All students will receive authentic forensics kits, which they will use when they move on to the second stage of the program—a staged crime scene. At the scene of the crime, they will collect and package evidence, which they will then process and analyze in a laboratory. The experience will culminate in a mock trial, where students will present their findings as expert witnesses.
