Piano - Beginner Arts Partner at Douglas

Participants are taught the keyboard, music theory and the rudiments of key and time signatures. After completing the class, students should be prepared for more advanced piano lessons. Families and community members play music together as they learn the fundamentals of the piano in an ensemble.Taught by the Ravinia Lawndal Family Music School, in residence at Douglas Park through the Chicago Park District?s Arts Partners in Residence Program, which unites artists and communities in Chicago?s parks.
