In this 2-week camp, you'll design a complete technology business from the ground up! You'll work in teams to identify a problem in your community and develop a web-based business idea to solve it. You'll learn and apply entrepreneurship concepts, create a business plan and build a prototype of a web application. During the camp, you'll hear from expert guest speakers and work with coaches from some of the top tech companies and entrepreneurs in Chicago. You'll earn a $200 stipend for your successful participation as well as have a chance to visit some top Chicago technology firms to experience the inspiring, fast-paced world of tech entrepreneurship. At the end of the camp, you'll pitch your final products to a judging panel and compete for $2,250 in venture grants. NFTEStarters BizCamp® combines the respective entrepreneurship and software development expertise of two of the top education organizations in Chicago: the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) and the Starter League (TSL).
