BBY Sports Referee Training Program @ Grand Crossing Park - Grand Crossing Park

BBY Officiating Clinic provides training for teens and young adults to become confident and proficient sports officials, licensed and registered with the Illinois High School Association (IHSA). It is a program ideally designed for teens 17 or older (17 is the minimal age IHSA will license a sports official). Participants will experience hands on education, training and skills development necessary to manage and control a game of basketball, thereby providing players the best possible experience playing the game within the guidelines of National Federation of High Schools (NFHS) rules. It is an opportunity for teens to develop an avocational skill which will allow them to earn monies around their academic schedules. As independent contractors licensed by the IHSA, they set their own work schedule and hours.
