Design and Build with LEGO: Inglenooks

Frank Lloyd Wright Trust

Design and build in Frank Lloyd Wright’s iconic Prairie style masterpiece, the Frederick C. Robie House, every third Saturday of the month (except May). This monthly family program includes a brief tour and directed workshop that explores the Robie House up close. In December, learn about an old idea in a new way. Learn what an inglenook is and how Frank Lloyd Wright used them in his designs. Then head into the Robie House LEGO Studio for a building workshop where you will build your own fireplace and inglenook to incorporate into a LEGO model. Families are invited to stay for a free building hour, Open Design Studio with LEGO, beginning at 11 am. During the Open Design Studio, you can incorporate your designs into a larger model to take home for FREE, up to a $25 value. Next month, we will explore a different architectural style. Check back to find out what it is!
