Design and Build with LEGO: Light Screens

Frank Lloyd Wright Trust

Design and build in Frank Lloyd Wright’s iconic Prairie style masterpiece, the Frederick C. Robie House, every third Saturday of the month (except May). This monthly family program includes a brief tour and directed workshop that explores the Robie House up close. In July, learn about the art glass window designs that Wright used to blur the boundary between indoors and out. Then head into the Robie House LEGO Studio for a building workshop where you will learn how to design your own art glass and incorporate it into a wall of windows for your own LEGO model. Families are invited to stay for a free building hour, Open Design Studio with LEGO, beginning at 11 am. During the Open Design Studio, you can incorporate your designs into a larger model to take home for FREE, up to a $25 value. Check back next month, too, when we explore a different architectural detail.
