Lifeguard Explorers at Austin Town Hall

The Chicago Park District is committed to identifying and training swimmers from around the city. We will teach you the required skills and provide supervised practice time needed to successfully pass the lifeguard test, and become eligible to be hired as a Chicago Park District Lifeguard. Open to all 15 - 22 years old. Participants who complete all fifteen classes, apply to be a Chicago Park District Lifeguard and attempt the Lifeguard Skills test will receive a stipend 4-6 weeks after their test. Explorers who pass the test will be offered a position as a Lifeguard or Shallow Water Attendant at a pool near the Lifeguard Explorers location. Day(s) of the week: Tuesday Thursday Saturday
