Paseo Boricua Tour

Chicago Public Library

Join a neighborhood walking tour of Humbolt Park with Eduardo Arocho and Paseo Boricua Tour Company. Located on Chicago's Northwest Side, the Division Street area (a.k.a. Paseo Boricua), with its stores and restaurants, is home to Chicago's Puerto Rican community. Some 80 murals, Spanish colonial inspired architecture and a visit to La Casita de Don Pedro reflect the heritage and longevity of the Puerto Rican Community in Humboldt Park. This thought-provoking tour explores the history of this iconic neighborhood through the public art proudly displayed along the six blocks of Division Street and in Humboldt Park. Tour runs approximately 90 minutes, and is rain or shine, so dress appropriately. Meet at Ciclo Urbano, 2459 W. Division Street, Chicago, IL 60622 by 5 minutes prior to the program's start. The tour will leave promptly. Space is limited - registration is required. Accessibility Need sign language interpretation or other accessibility assistance for this event?
