Junk Journaling for Kids
Chicago Public Library
Junk Journaling is the art of creating a personalized, hand-crafted journal, kind of like a visual diary. Junk journals include photos, tickets, receipts, notes or anything you consider a memory. These items, including your sketches, quotes or jokes, are incorporated with your memorabilia. This journal is yours to keep.
You receive a blank journal to decorate with stickers and markers. Bring your own things to add to your journal and then continue using it at home, filling all the extra pages with cool stuff. If you can glue it down, it can go in your journal. For ages 6 and up.
How to Attend Register by the start of the event. Chicago Public Library cannot collect personal information online from kids 0 to 13. A parent or guardian's email address must be used to register. As a reminder, school email addresses may block external emails such as those from CPL.
