Make a Bento Tote Bag: Cut and Sew

Chicago Public Library

In this sewing program we will learn to create a Japanese-style bento bag, which will be sustainably made with one piece of material, from start to finish! Perfect for beginners, the session will cover essential skills like basic pattern drafting, fabric cutting, and machine sewing. Through step-by-step guidance, you will gain hands-on experience while crafting your own stylish and functional bento bag- ideal for carrying lunches, small items, or as a unique gift. By the end of the program, you will leave with a completed bag and a solid foundation in sewing techniques to inspire future projects. All supplies will be provided for this program.
