Mirror Collage: Self-Portraits with Magazines
Chicago Public Library
Image from The Truman Show (1998), directed by Peter Weir. Courtesy of Paramount Pictures.
Join us at the Lozano Branch for a hands-on, creative workshop where we'll use magazines, mirrors, and imagination to build one-of-a-kind self-portraits.
Participants will use magazine cutouts to create expressive collage faces, guided by their own reflection. This activity is perfect for exploring identity, style, and self-expression. No artistic skills required.
We'll provide mirrors, magazines, glue, scissors, and paper. Whether you're bold and colorful or subtle and quiet, there's no wrong way to create your portrait. Registration is required.
