About the Organization:
True Bellevers Community Connections is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 2013 to support at-risk youth and families through education, mentoring, leadership development, and workforce readiness. The organization is committed to uplifting communities and developing the next generation of leaders across Chicago’s South Side.
Position Overview:
The Community Outreach Worker plays a vital role in building trust, sharing resources, and supporting local residents—especially youth ages 11 to 24. This role is ideal for a passionate and community-minded young adult interested in leadership, social impact, and youth empowerment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build strong relationships with individuals and community groups
- Share information about resources, support programs, and upcoming opportunities
- Assist with planning and leading youth-focused workshops and activities
- Support violence and delinquency prevention efforts
- Represent True Bellevers at community events and partner meetings
- Help identify the needs of youth in the community and work with the team to find solutions
Qualifications:
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A genuine passion for serving the community
- Team-oriented with a desire to grow professionally
- Interest in youth development, social justice, or nonprofit work
- Must be between the ages of 18–24
