Sisters in STEM

Digital Youth Network

Sisters in STEM builds upon the mission of one of Northwestern University's longstanding programs Digital Youth Divas, a program that has been engaging youth in STEM since 2013. Our initiative is dedicated to increasing access to and participation in high-quality STEM education and mentorship for underrepresented youth ages 10 - 14 (grades 5th - 8th), particularly those from Near South Side communities of Chicago. Our goals is to provide interactive supportive learning experiences and mentorship to ensure that youth feel empowered to explore their strengths, build confidence, and develop a sense of belonging in STEM spaces. Participants will gain essential skills such as problem-solving, teamwork, and technical proficiency, helping them transition out of middle school and prepare for future STEM academic and career pathways.

By joining our community, your family will receive:
✅ Access to our 2025 calendar of STEM opportunities offered through our network of partners
✅ Invitations to ongoing STEM socials, workshops, and events
✅ A supportive community of caring adults and mentors dedicated to nurturing STEM interests and pathways

We look forward to engaging with your family and supporting your child's STEM journey!
