Empower Hour: Bedewed Skin

Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection (BACP)

This month’s Empower Hour will feature BACP Chief Small Business Officer Lotika Pai chatting with Dr. Cedric Salone, Owner of Bedewed Skin. As we approach the holiday season, the shopping spirit focuses on the small businesses that are the heart of communities.

Dr. Salone, a pharmacist, created the skincare brand dedicated to delivering optimal moisture and hydration to dry skin using powerful plant-based ingredients. Bedewed Skin, has been active in bringing its products to a wider audience by engaging in community level events. The business has been a member of the Chicago Artisan Co-Op and participated in the Lakeview and Roscoe Village Chambers Storefront Pop-Ups, part of the BACP Small Business Storefront Activation Program. This has allowed customers to enjoy the clean, rich ingredients on their skin and feel high-quality, long-lasting skin hydration.

The candid conversation will cover the start of the business, site selection, working with local business service organization and preparing for the holiday shopping season The webinar will end with a Q&A for attendees to ask questions.
