Recreational Leadership Program @ Riis Park

Apprentices will learn to create, implement and lead thematic weekly lesson plans that incorporate SPARK- Active Recreation, sports, fitness, field trips (pre/post activities), crafts, cooking, nature, cultural age appropriate activities. They will be trained in basic Youth Development principles for recreation leaders and are certified in the American Red Cross First Aid/CPR. Upon completion of program, apprentices will be available for employment within the Chicago Park District three regions.
