Fashion Forward---The Beverly Arts Center Apprenticeship

After School Matters

Apprentices in the Fashion Design program will learn how to create a garment from a pattern from start to finish, including sketching and inspiration boards, hand and machine sewing, and embellishing and dyeing techniques. Students will be encouraged to draw on their own ideas and interests for their designs, using fashion as a medium for creative self-expression. The resulting garments will be modeled at a culminating runway showcase. Throughout the program there will be presentations on global trends and visiting artists to expose students to career paths in the fashion industry
