First Defense Legal Aid

CJI is aimed at educating and providing resources to address legal challenges faced by many Chicago residents. CJI consists of ÒKnow Your RightsÓ trainings, legal consultation, or representation for qualified residents, and more. FDLA mobilizes lawyers and overpoliced community members to fill gaps in public defense and create, protect, and engage replicable alternatives to the criminal system, starting with entry points.
