Chicago Knights Happen to Things!
Join the Chicago Knights all-city high school robotics team and participate in competitions offered by the global FIRST organization. In response to FIRST’s 2023-24 arts-inspired design challenge, you will collaboratively design, build, and train a robot to complete pre-defined tasks.
The 2023-24 Kickoff for the FIRST Robotics Competition season, Crescendo, is Saturday, January 6th at 10:30 am (lunch is provided)

Stop by and experience this season's new challenge!
During the season, you choose which of the following skills to learn and apply
- Create Computer Aided Designs (CAD) for mechanical and 3D printed parts using OnShape.
- Train the robot to complete tasks (including dancing!) using Python coding.
- Plan and install the electronics to transfer power and data to motors and sensors
- Build an actual robot using traditional and advanced manufacturing tools.
- Develop a competitive game strategy
- Design and implement team branding assets
- Solve problems and set goals as a team
You will also share your learning with peers and the general public while contributing to a high-profile product! These skills make you eligible to apply for an exclusive pool of scholarship dollars!
