Citizenship for All: Storytelling Through Nonggi Making

Artist Aram Han Sifuentes will facilitate an ongoing Nonggi (Korean folk banners) making workshops for multi-generational, multi-ethnic immigrant communities in Chicago through storytelling and hands-on creation to achieve immigrant and racial justice. This workshop series will lead to a public art installation with the Nonggis on HANA Center's building façade.
Sessions Include:
- 1 Session: Intro + Designing Nonggi
- 2, 3 Session: Making Nonggi
- 4 Session: Sharing our story
Date/time: This project is based on a cohort which contains 4 consecutive sessions. The first session begins on the first Wednesday of each month. The entire workshop will take about a month and will be held every Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 pm.

Aram Han Sifuentes가 시카고를 기반으로 한 다세대, 다민족 이민자 커뮤니티와 함께 '이민자 정의와 인종 정의 실현을 위한 스토리텔링: 농기 만들기' 워크샵을 진행합니다. 이 워크샵을 통해 참가자들은 본인이 생각하는 이민자 정의와 인종 정의에 대해 생각해보고, 그 이야기를 담아내어 농기를 만들 예정입니다. 워크샵 참가자분들께서 만드신 농기는 하나센터 건물 전면에 설치될 예정입니다.
각 세션은 다음과 같습니다:
- 첫번째 세션: 인트로 + 농기 디자인
- 두번째, 세번째 세션: 농기 만들기
- 네번째 세션: 농기에 담긴 우리의 이야기를 공유하기
날짜 및 시간: 매월 첫번째 수요일에 첫번째 세션이 시작됩니다. 전체 워크샵은 약 한달 정도가 소요되고, 매주 수요일 저녁 6시부터 8시까지 진행될 예정입니다.
