Are you ready to embark on an incredible adventure this summer? Introducing the SCU:BA program – a collaboration between Code Your Dreams, the University of Chicago Department of Computer Science, and the University of Chicago Hillel. Get ready for a transformative 6-week experience that will challenge you, inspire you, and unleash your potential!
The SCU:BA program offers a unique blend of design thinking, analytical problem-solving, Python programming, and entrepreneurship, all wrapped up in a supportive and engaging mentorship environment. This interdisciplinary journey will help you develop a versatile skill set and bring your innovative ideas to life.
Don't worry if you're new to any of these areas; we welcome students of diverse backgrounds, experiences, and interests. We're on the lookout for passionate and creative individuals who are eager to learn, grow, and make a difference!
By fully committing to this program and attending all weekday meetings, you'll not only gain invaluable knowledge but also receive a laptop computer and a $500 stipend upon successful completion of the summer program.
Here's a quick snapshot of what to expect:
- Program dates: June 26, 2023 - August 4, 2023 (no meeting on Tuesday, July 4)
- Class schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
- Location: UChicago Hillel (5715 S Woodlawn Ave. Chicago, IL)
- Eligibility: Students entering 10th, 11th, or 12th grade in Fall 2023
- No prior coding experience or computer required; we'll provide everything you need!
