Join us to learn more about map making and land surveying in Chicago and beyond.Donald and Tanya Smith will present a history of land surveying and map making in the United States, Illinois, and Chicago. Their presentation will focus on some of the more interesting projects from the historical archive of their family business, Greeley - Howard - Norlin - Smith, which has been in the surveying and map making business since 1854 and worked on numerous significant projects in the Chicagoland area. YouÕll also have a chance to see some antique instruments, maps, and atlases from the archives of Greeley - Howard - Norlin - Smith.. How to Attend: This event takes place in person.
