Lifeguard Certification at Ellis

This is an American Red Cross Blended Learning Waterfront Lifeguard Training Course. This program is held in the winter and spring sessions throughout the city. Pocket mask and American Red Cross Training materials will be provided. There is online course work, and in person skills and evaluation. Prerequisites: The first day of class you must complete the following : Any online components assigned by the instructor, a 550Yd continuous swim using front crawl, breaststroke or a combination of both without stopping, 2 minutes treading without support and an underwater timed event. If you cannot complete these skills you will not be allowed to take the class. You also will be required to utilize a valid email for registration and online course work with the American Red Cross. *We are currently following Covid 19 guidelines set forth by the Illinois Department of Health and American Red Cross.
