Chef Francisco Alegria (Menominee) demonstrates how to make a delicious Corn Succotash, a perfect fall dish.Chef Alegria is Menominee, from one of the first Wisconsin tribes, and half Indigenous from Mexico. He has been a chef for 18 years, working in every type of job in every type of restaurant. Growing up on the Menominee reservation, his family instilled in him the importance of their culture and their foods. He learned respect for the preparation of food and a deep respect for the harvest. Chef Alegria carries those teachings with him every day. Menominee food systems have been in Wisconsin for over 9,000 years. He believes these systems are healthy not just for Menominee, but for all people.How to AttendThis event takes place on Zoom.
