Digital Youth Divas Saturday Program

Digital Youth Network

Digital Divas When asked for their opinion on computer science, middle school girls tend to describe the field as being for "boys” and "nerds.” The same girls, when asked about the word “diva,” describe females of all ages as being sassy, cool, and “just like me!” The Digital Youth Network’s Digital Youth Divas program provides fun, innovative computer science opportunities for girls who don't typically see themselves as tomorrows tech bosses. We encourage middle school girls to become tomorrow’s STEM leaders by bringing them technology with attitude! We invite 5th-8th grade girls to participate in the Digital Youth Divas program at DePaul University. This year we are designing and crafting fashion accessories, such as bracelets that light up with LEDs. We will also be introducing coding and programming.
