College Essay Writing Workshop

The University of Chicago Office of College Admissions is presenting a series of fall workshops at the Chinatown Branch, related to the college search and admissions process.This final workshop will focus on writing application essays, when applying to any college or university. Participants will learn what admissions counselors are truly looking for when they read your essays and how to best represent oneself through writing. Participants in this workshop will have the ability to read sample essays and learn how to best craft personal statements.For teens and young adults, age 13 to 24. Caregivers may attend with their participant. How to AttendThis event takes place in person. We encourage those who are not vaccinated, may be immunocompromised or have family members who are immunocompromised to wear a mask. Questions about visiting the library?
