Parent University Job Readiness - Parenting Course

Job Readiness and Parenting Course integrates the development of Job-Readiness skills with development of parenting skills. Parent university participants prepare for the job market as they also work to become more effective parents. The Job-Readiness and Parenting course provides twenty-four hours of instructions delivered through two, two hour workshops per week, for six weeks. In addition to developing job skills, this new course also improves parental effectiveness via the incorporation of a set of positive parenting skills and strategies that can be immediately implemented. The Job Readiness and Parenting Course is designed around the 10 most effective parenting practices that extensive research has been designated the most important in bringing up healthy, happy, and successful children.
