Chicago Youth Service Corps Fall Application
Chicago Youth Service Corps (CYSC)
Interesting in getting paid this Fall? Chicago Youth Service Corps, Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s year-long civic leadership program, provides paid opportunities for youth ages 16-24 to engage in community service, project-based learning, and leadership development! CYSC was established in Summer 2020 and focuses on providing youth the opportunity to build relationships, leadership and life-skills through activities that will make a positive impact in their communities. Corps members are dedicated to guiding principles of strengthening communities through civic leadership, working together to broaden impact, continuous learning, valuing youth-led advocacy and public service, and creating safe environments that celebrate diversity. This model aspires to promote safe and vibrant communities by empowering youth through civic-minded service while dually providing employment. Over the last two years, over 5,000 young people were employed in projects focused on developing leadership and empowering a service mindset. (Featured)
