The art of fashion shows and floor presentations of a collection parallels the art of the fashion designs themselves. The presentation of a fashion collection must represent the mood and style of your collection and who you are as a designer. Fashion shows, trunk shows, and even store front displays give the public a preview of what's available in your collection so you want to WOW them from the very first moment your pieces step out onto the world stage.

Before conceiving your own design debut, you must understand how the fashion pros have done them. Choose a designer or brand and research the ways they have presented their collections in runway shows, as well as, floor designs and displays at major department stores.

Steps:

1. Research a designer or a brand's past runway or trunk shows, or storefront displays. 

2. As you do research,take notes on the following:

a.  what you find inspiring

b. what you dislike

c. describe how the show is set up, in terms of the stage or the audience?  

d.what interesting elements are added to the show? are there props? music? anything unique about the models in terms of hair or makeup?

3.  Find photos/video that support your blogpost

4. Submit a blogpost that reflects your research and thoughts on a chosen designer or brand's past runway shows, trunk shows, or store front displays supported by videos/photographs
