Starve the landfill: Measure a typical day’s garbage in your household by weighing it or measuring how much of a bag it fills. The next day, see how much you can reduce your garbage footprint. Compost food waste, recycle paper, plastic, and metal, use reusable cloths to wipe up spills instead of paper towels, and think about how to throw away less. Then measure that day’s waste. Complete this challenge and earn a Green Guru badge!
