300 Level - You really know your stuff

Show us your visual style by taking a creative portrait of yourself a family member or a friend.

Steps:
1. Take 3 portraits of yourself using the self-timer feature on your camera or take a portrait of a friend. Portraits should include a variety of shot types, angles, lighting styles - soft lighting or harsh lighting, and clear balanced focused subject/image. *Make sure to choose areas with enough light and space to expose yourself or your subject clearly. Remember to position your camera at an elevated position that will avoid cut off portraits.

*See more resources in the resource section to assist you with the techniques.

Before you begin capturing your portrait, take a look at the examples below and ask yourself the following questions:

How can I creatively represent myself or someone visually using make up, photo enhancements, backgrounds, costumes, etc?

What shot sizes, angles and lighting help tell the visual story I'm trying to create?

2. Upload 3 different original photos that demonstrate: shot types, angles, lighting styles - soft lighting or harsh lighting, and clear balanced focused subject/image.  *See the resources in the resource section to assist you with the techniques.

3. Under each photo within your photo blog you must explain what camera techniques are represented (shot types and angles), the lighting technique used, and what the subject/image is.

*Need more help? Check out the resource section.
