Mobile apps! Fun games, information gadgets, and simulations for your cell phone or tablet. In this challenge, you will find out more about the field of interaction design and learn some of the principles of designing an app for an end user. You will learn how to use App Inventor, a free tool from MIT to help you quickly and easily create cool new apps of your own design!
The final challenge will require you to identify a mobile app need and design and build an app to fill that need. Be creative!

Do some online research to answer the following questions:
What are the different types of apps out there? Describe at least three different types of apps and name some popular apps in each category (e.g. Angry Birds is in the category of game apps.)
Ask your friends and family about their favorite apps. Summarize responses from at least three people.
Think about the types of apps used by different age groups of people. In your document describe at least one app used by teenagers and why they use it. Describe one app used by parents and why they use it.
To get credit for this activity, post a blog entry to iRemix describing what you found out from researching online and from talking to people. Be sure to answer the questions asked. Try to include some screen shots of the apps you describe in your blog.
