Founded in 1999 by musician and educator Howard Sandifer and business and marketing expert Darlene Sandifer, Chicago West Community Music Center (CWCMC) provides quality arts programming for youth and adults by operating as a music conservatory “without walls,” bringing music instruction and activities through classes held in its main residency located in the Garfield Park Field House (“Gold Dome”) as well as providing instruction in local schools and community organizations on the Westside of Chicago. CWCMC not only services East/West Garfield Park, classes and arts activities are open to the entire City of Chicago and suburban communities.
