CrossRealms, Inc. is a managed services firm that has continuously engaged in community development projects. Now, CrossRealms is establishing the non-profit CrossRealms 4 All to create, develop and implement socially responsible initiatives to provide low-income persons access to technology to improve their education, employment, and overall quality of life. Objective: The Pioneer program addresses technological inequity in Chicago communities that stems from the digital divide. CrossRealms, Inc. is creating an educational program, called Pioneer, to be integrated into community and computer technology centers (CTCs) that focuses on Science, Technology, Engineering, & Mathematics (STEM) programming.The programming centers on creating an open-learning environment for youth, aged 6 to 18, to access, practice and acquire skills from mathematic and science lessons based on Khan Academy and Code.org content. The participants will also engage in hands-on engineering and technology projects that utilize the Raspberry Pi, a trademark of the Raspberry Pi Foundation.
