Blackstone Bicycle Works (BBW) is a community-based youth advocacy program that uses a retail bike shop setting to support and engage youth from some of Chicago’s most underserved neighborhoods, where they acquire problem-solving, leadership, and vocational skills that encourage confidence and independence. Our youth program uses bicycle advocacy, mechanics, cycling, and business operations to create an inclusive community centering Black youth from Woodlawn and surrounding neighborhoods on Chicago's South Side
