True Star Media and Foundation champions the voices of black and Latinx youth by valuing their lived experiences and providing a platform for their perspectives. The entire nature of True Star programs is centered in a vision that an empowered voice leads to an empowered self. Students learn hard and soft skills while producing written articles, short films/video, podcast/audio, computer/digital arts, and interactive media. True Star programs allow youth the opportunity to tell their own stories around their identity, issues, and interest. True Star provides youth a bridge to media arts and digital learning, careers and opportunities utilizing a work-based learning model through the development of dynamic digital content, ultimately transforming marginalized youth from digital consumers to digital creators, changing the inequalities that exist within the digital space. https://truestar.life/
